Given the holiday season is upon many across the little blue marble that is our planet Earth, I thought a story of this kind would be appropriate. In Morgantown, West Virginia, someone dropped a $1000 bill in a Salvation Army Christmas kettle. That someone has been doing it since Christmas 1978. Major Richard Hathorn from the Salvation Army was expecting it to happen, specifically between 1 and 3 p.m. (keeping with tradition) and carefully scanned people's faces trying to uncover this mystery donor. He didn't notice anyone drop in "a bill bearing the likeness of President Glover Cleveland." The cunning donor, not to be undone, had the bill rapped in another $1 bill. Major Hathorn's goal to raise $62,000 this year is closer thanks to him. If you can, donate money to those who need this holiday season so that they may have a hot meal and shelter in these cold times (litterally, I'm freezing my buttocks off!). I'd like to take the opportunity to wish everyone the happiest of holidays to all. Enjoy.
